Ages 5–11
MiniRoos football at Rovers
MiniRoos is the first step into football for many children, so the experience needs to feel fun, safe and encouraging. The focus is on enjoyment, confidence, ball skills, teamwork and giving every child a positive start.
How it works
Football built for young players
MiniRoos is a modified, small-sided form of the game for players under 12. Smaller teams and smaller fields mean more touches, more shots and more time on the ball than an eleven-a-side match would give them.
Rovers runs age-specific MiniRoos programs for players aged 5 to 11, and every program is led by coaches accredited through Football Australia.

Who MiniRoos is for
A good fit for new and keen players
MiniRoos is a good fit if your child is new to football, keen to try a team sport, ready to build confidence, or already loves the game and wants to keep developing.
Players do not need to arrive as finished footballers. They need to be willing to listen, have a go and be part of a team.
